Joel is a newcomer to the influencing industry after many years training with incredible chefs across the world. Starting his life as a trainee chef at the acclaimed PIER Restaurant in Sydney, Joel moved from strength to strength in fine dining seafood restaurants across Australia and then the world.
After travelling globally, Joel took a break from the world of professional cooking to focus on consulting, private dining experiences, and to self-publish his cookbook - Food by Joel Bennetts: A Chef's Guide to Simply Stunning Cooking. He has a strong focus on simple, sustainable meals that are achievable by everyone in the kitchen.
He has a strong interest in sustainable, vegan and plant-based food which he promotes through his book, social media, and restaurant menu at FISH SHOP.
Joel is a passionate, lively chef who brings a unique point of view to the OXO Brand in Australia as we look to significantly expand brand awareness nationally this year.
